Honesty / Moonwort
Lunaria annua, called honesty, moonwort
The Latin name lunaria means "moon-shaped" and refers to the shape and appearance of the seedpods. The common name "honesty" arose in the 16th century, and may also relate to the translucence of the seedpods. In South East Asia, it is called the "money plant" and in the United States it is commonly known as "silver dollars", "Chinese money", or "Chinese coins" because its seedpods have the appearance of silvery coins
This magick herb in contrast is domesticated and fairly easy to grow, and it's very decorative.
Used in Moon Magick, the dried silvery oval pods being especially evocative of the Moon. This plant is protective in that it is said to keep away monsters. It is used to gather midnight, Moon-charged dew for magickal workings. In the language of flowers, it represents money, sincerity, and honesty
The bag contains 7 leaves
